Since the holidays are a time for family and friend gatherings we thought we would give you an extra hand with your cozy home game. Here's a look at the most essential, essential oils to get you in that holiday spirit.
Trick or, preferably, TREAT.
Here's three essential oils to to get you ready for pumpkin carving and spooky movie watching:
Cinnamon Clove Bud Frankincense
Not only does do these oils smell like pumpkin spice and everything nice but they were a staple for many spooky traditions in ancient human civilizations. Cinnamon was traditionally used by the ancient Romans in their cremation process, and they burned it at funerals as they believed it embraced the spirit world. Ancient Romans and Greeks took a strong interest in magic, charms, spells and amulets. Clove bud's ancient uses include bewitching spells, as the spice was traditionally used in love potions. Lastly, Frankincense was used by the ancient Egyptians who used the spice in the mummification process. After the organs of the deceased were removed, the Egyptians would pack the body with Frankincense for preservation and odor control. As well, special supplies were stored by the Pharaohs' tombs to use in the after life.
The turkey's not the only thing smelling yummy this Thanksgiving. Here's what you'll need:
Cinnamon Clove Bud Nutmeg Sweet Orange
This blend will give your slow baked turkey a run for it's money. Nothing will tantalize your guests nostrils quite like the smell of this festive blend. With the aromas of cinnamon and nutmeg hitting those memory sensors of the best of holidays, while the rich smell of clove brings depth and warmth to your home. Just a hint of citrus uplifts the energy in the room and even will help with digestion (maybe add a little extra sweet orange in that case ;)). We suggest diffusing 2-3 drops of the above oils in your diffuser. Happy Turkey Day!
